In this session, you will learn how to listen to, recognize, and appreciate the diverse perspectives of guests and staff to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment.
Life Domains
In this session, we will learn about the 4 life domains (Self, Career, Family and Community) and compare what we are experiencing today to what each of us would like to create for ourselves in 3-5 years. We will explore the intentional choices we each want to make to navigate different phases of career and life as a woman.
Networking and Relationship Building Exercise
In this session, each participant will identify one question from the 4 life domain exercise for which she would like suggestions/ideas. Each of us will leave this session with 10 new ideas to consider to create the change we seek!

Nancy MendelsonConversation Host
Nancy started NEM Global in 2012, a consultancy specializing in the revitalization and transformation of organizations, destinations and individuals, helping clients define, articulate, and communicate their unique voice. In addition, she serves as an advisor and contributor to hertelier, an online media platform that enlightens and inspires women in hospitality to pursue, navigate and nurture their careers at every stage. A career communicator, Nancy has held key positions in hospitality, broadcasting, publishing, advertising, event and media production, working with major corporations and global brands.

Robin MoncrieffeGuest Speaker
A 30 + year Hospitality veteran, Robin Moncrieffe is co-host of Don’t Look Under the Bed, an award-winning podcast dedicated to elevating the voices of industry leaders, colleagues and growing the next generation of hospitality professionals. With over 20 years as an industry sales leader, she is passionate about the customer experience and building long-lasting relationships. A believer in selfcare, doing what you love and living a full life, Robin is an employee advocate, committed to demonstrating the same level of hospitality to associates as is extended to hotel guests, and serves as a mentor, helping others to navigate their career paths.

Dinner will begin promptly following the "Cocktails and Conversations" session.
For our evening special programming we will be lead by dance instructor and performer, Jillian Chavez-Oliveria for a 45 minute class called “Modern Dance Foundations”. The class consists of traditional Modern Dance warm ups and footwork sequences along with exercises derived from the Horton Technique repertoire. The second half of class moves into guided movement explorations that foster somatic awareness and full body activation. The class finishes with strengthening and stretching exercises.

In this workshop we will address the different roles leaders play as visionary, strategist, motivator, mentor, and facilitator. We will define and discuss the different roles and how our mindsets fuel success in each role.
Inspirational Speaker
Emily Penfold Dailey
Emily is a 15-year veteran of the hospitality industry with extensive experience in operations and marketing with particular skill in branding, marketing, and communications. She has worked with major brands and independent hotels. Much of her focus has been on full-service, lifestyle properties. In the boutique and lifestyle space, Emily has developed branding, written service training programs, and launched marketing programs. She has helped to successfully brand, open, and ramp more than a dozen hotels across the country from Florida to California. Emily is the Founder & CEO of PenDailey Consulting which offers branding, marketing, and sustainability services or business in the hospitality, tourism, and wellness spaces.
